The
Art of Electronics by Paul Horowitz and Winfield Hill. If you buy one
electronics book, this is it. The authors cover the basics up through advanced
circuits, and focus more on practical tips rather than on dense mathematics.
Very easy to read - one of my personal favorites. A companion book contains
exercises and answers: The Art of Electronics (Student Manual with
Exercises) by Thomas C. Hayes and Paul Horowitz.
